Personally, mine is joint first between Sandshrew (the cutest), Espurr (most relatable), and Gastrodon.

After those, in no particular order, I like Turtwig (best starter, fight me), the Roggenrola line (little rock guys), the Litwick line (candles and lamps with nefarious intentions), and Metagross (cool robot thing).

Kyogre is the best legendary in my opinion

Also, comment on my tier lists of Pokemon from generations up to Galar (excluding Gen 7 / Alola, but know that Meltan is one of my favourites from there)

I made this a while back, and just realised I placed Poliwhirl way below Poliwag and Poliwrath! The three should be together in the “awesome” tier!

I might have also been slightly harsh on Charmeleon…

I just don’t like that the mushroom has taken over little Paras, it should have been Paras being strong and resisting the mushroom!

Pokemon within each tier is in no particular order (at least, regarding which I like better or worse). Being at the beginning just means that they were categorised the earliest (so there is a sort of order, the ones at the end were usually the ones that I struggled to decide on, but that’s not always the case. Also, I went through them through their Pokedex numbers, so you will see that too)

I was talking to someone a month ago about this. I told them as a kid my favorite pokemon was charizard and as I got older it switched to dragonite. They said to me “so you really have a type huh?” I didn’t understand until I thought about it and realized charizard and dragonite share a lot of similarities. The former being edgier and the latter being cuter.

So apparently I really like large, orange dragons.

Back when I was really into Pokemon I liked Dewott. After not playing Pokemon for several years, I think Pikachu became my favorite; it’s really the only pokemon you get exposed to if you don’t play the games and the design is very iconic.
About a year ago I played Cobblemon (Minecraft Pokemon) and Joltik / Galvantula became my new favorite. 🕷️

Eevee > Glaceon and Sylveon, Charcadet > Armarouge and Ceruledge, and I also like Genesect.

I think it’s fair to pick a few with how many there are now.

    Nidorina.

It’s one of the first Pokémon in gen 1 that isn’t recognisable as another creature. It feels like the first ‘monster’ you really run into.

I also caught one early in my first playthrough, and didn’t find out about the moon stone evo until very late game. I just thought that Nidorina was the final form. By the time I learnt, I was kind of attached to the middle form.

Probably a bit basic but Charizard and Umbreon. I like ditto and wooper too! Though my favourite starter is either totodile or cyndaquil depending on the day lol.
