You don’t need to see the titles (and you can always see them with vertical tabs anyway). There are good cases for having many tabs open. It’s just that chrome is terrible at dealing with them.

Even without any extensions, there is a shortcut in Firefox to search and switch to a tab by typing % on the address bar

If you already have a supported xperia model sailfish does provide a free trial. Otherwise yeah it’s commercial, though it might be worth it if everything works fine. Furiphone is also interesting, hadn’t heard of it before.

SailfishOS supposedly runs Android apps. This is probably what I’ll try once my phone is added to the supported list. There is also AppSupport that should allow Linux phones to run android apps but haven’t looked into it.
It’s no tocar (Spanish). The last letter is ⠗
Sadly your sleep schedule will probably also relocate. The trick is to stay where you are and get a remote job from a place that uses your internal time zone.

Have they actually parked on the bike lane? It’d be too bad if a handlebar accidentally scratched them. I used to work close to a dealership and they had taken the whole sidewalk around their building with cars. Someone parked a bicycle on that sidewalk once. They were asked to move it.

I had a manager who pushed AI a lot. When he left, all the pressure to use it seemed to die down. So maybe it’s just a couple of people creating this environment and if you can get away with avoiding them it’s better.
The problem with AI code we saw is that often no human has actually looked at it. During reviews you won’t check every line and you’ll have to trust much of the code that seems to do obvious things. But that assumes it was written by a human you also trust. When that human hasn’t reviewed the code either, you end up with code no one in the company has seen (and may not even know how it works).

Yeah it’s a good way to force yourself to be more social and talk to strangers with low stakes (you won’t see them again). Also great for practicing a foreign language.
Switzerland is a very good starting position for trips as you can get to many countries by train. I’d totally take this opportunity and you can even do 2-3 day trips if you’re not comfortable with something longer.

No bank gives a fuck about you. You are right but just for perspective, banks here use their app for 2fa with the only other option being sms (which doesn’t even work half the time) and which bank you use is pretty much dictated by your employer. Banks aren’t even that bad as some countries require an app for gov id which may or may not work on grapheneos.
This is a regulation problem, it’s not going away. The most a user can do is keep a second phone with android just for verification. I really wish we could just move to yubikeys at this point.
Looking for the backstory of the frog name, here’s another gem from here.
Now, the caterpillar remains alive for a while as the baby wasps eat it from the inside, bending and squirming as it becomes desiccated and dies. These wiggly movements made the scientists think of Shakira, and thus the species Aleiodes shakirae immortalized the Colombian singer in the annals of zoology.
Zoologists are fun.

They weren’t using OneDrive either

Very small blocked list and doesn’t block NSFW. Users should make their own choices. Also awesome stats every month.
This is probably the first sharkey post I see on lemmy. It looks really good, nice.

Now the question is, if these pipes didn’t always have treated water flowing through them (but say sea water), can they ever be considered clean afterwards? Is there a way to clean the existing pipe system?

Software engineer (you’ll get a lot of those). Most software has so. many. bugs. I keep a mental list of them and when I see some weird behavior I’ll try to reproduce it. I’ll also judge bad design choices.
But this has very minor impact. I can’t imagine being a health professional in a setting with many people. It must be pretty stressful seeing people being disgusting with public spaces.

Yeah different sizes don’t seem to make a difference, they still fall off. I haven’t tried the foam tips, maybe they’ll work better. Having to buy them extra just to try is a pretty hard sell.

I don’t understand how the silicone ones can stay in the ear but apparently they do for most people. The top example from the left side in the silicone photo is the only one I can actually wear. Maybe our ears just have a weird shape.
Gloomy weather itself doesn’t make me depressed but the sun always makes me feel better and it’s something you need sometimes. Also being in the cold for a long time starts to hurt after a while so that could also make you irritable.
If you keep some tabs at specific places you know where they are. Some websites are so bloated that every action has a cost (looking at you jira) and having only 1-2 tabs of the site open and searching within it is so much more sloppy. When you find yourself with >20 important tabs you should split them to groups or multiple windows. But just having them open isn’t bad.
