A democratic republic shares many things with a democracy, but the fact is a republic is built specifically to deny the public any actual direct voice in the government. I’m not sure that would be necessary, actually. Android is derived from Linux, surely they can do a translation layer for the majority of API calls? I mean there’s no need for emulating anything, nor would it necessarily require layering an entire android install on top of Linux…?
