It is a harsh reality that yeah cars suck, but if there is a near instant harsh transition away from cars that will directly harm the more susceptible groups like disabled, elderly, and very low income families far far worse than the people who are the actual problem. I may be wrong but with it being defederated does that mitigate the concern of it being enshittified? Or maybe I dont understand the whole picture of defederated apps but isnt the hope that they remain corporate free even if they are popular?

I had an account for over 10 years and also left. I left over the recent issues with Discord as well as Reddit, Meta, and Google. I figured it was time to get off of them, honestly they did OP a favor.

That still sounds misleading. He was not speaking for 16 hours of use which is what the headline suggests. As other has stated, I hope those companies crumble but I think honesty is important, not sensationalization.
