The exposure was 14 days, but OP didn’t know that some people claimed it was done on 1826 and others in 1827.

Niepce is ik tested by history. People who know a bit remember Daguerre, because of the daguerreotype, but Niepce is the first one to develop the process.
There’s a nice museum in his birthplace in Châlons sur Saône for those interested, and geologically suited.
In case someone else was curious, it took at most 20 years for the first pornographic photograph.
