So, not sure if this breaks the rules here, but apparently, two weeks ago, Yoko Kanno & SEATBELTS released an extended cut of the incredible TANK! from Cowboy Bebop.

The original anime debuted in 98 in Japan, so… perhaps this counts as 90s music?

I dunno, when it come to exact rules…

I try not to think.

I think it’s appropriate. Doesn’t matter if it was performed recently, the song was released in the '90s anyway.

Yoko Kanno absolutely rocks. There is a Youtube music playlist of the various Ghost in the Shell albums. It’s about 5 hours long or so. Three days every week I have four hours of dialysis, and most days I play that playlist. It’s a comfort. I try to nap a bit and when I inevitably wake up, I can tell where I am timewise by what’s playing. :)

Oh I also love the GITS OSTs, just…

…for whatever reason, the youtube algorithm decided to actually work, and was like hey, you’re some kinda computer nerd that likes ‘music’ of some kind, yes?

      Here, have this, idiot.

I guess you could say maybe the ghost of the old YT algo is still in there, somewhere…

Anyway, if you like Kanno… well you may also enjoy the entire OST to Trigun, Tsuneo Imahori, if you wanna change things up a bit.

I think it came out as … 3 different albums with ‘Donut’ in the name somewhere, maybe 2 or 3 hours of music all in total?

Also, you may enjoy the OST to the old HL2 mod NeoTokyo… its essentially ‘Ghost In The Shell: Unofficial Team Deathmatch’.
