In the hours after the U.S. began its military operation in Iran, a cascade of national security departments and agencies, including the FBI and Homeland Security, began notifying the public that they would be stepping up their activities around the country because of a heightened risk of international and domestic terrorism.
But after a year of federal budget cuts, resignations, firings, layoffs and a reshuffling of the Trump administration’s priorities, some national security experts are worried about the ability of those agencies to respond.
“The administration has reduced U.S. capabilities in this area, so the United States might be more vulnerable than it was a year ago,” said Daniel Byman, director of the Warfare of Irregular Threats and Terrorism program at the non-partisan Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
“Key institutions like the CIA and the FBI have both had large-scale layoffs,” Byman said. “Within these organizations, we’ve seen shifts in resources. So, FBI agents, for example, were transferred from counter-terrorism to policing immigration.”
The guy running our terrorism monitoring is a 22 (maybe he’s 23 now) year old whose only prior government experience was a model UN and only paid work experience was landscaping…
That’s who’s going to be making sure Kash Patel and Krsty Noem are fully updated.
Meaning, we’re as the kids say “cooked”.
This is all part of the plan to enable further expansion of the police state and more endless war. Piss everyone off with illegal war. Raise risk of terrorism. Let terrorism happen. Oppress the populace.
This is the other half of the story that you’re looking for. Kash fucking Patel was told (because he’s a complete fucking idiot and a consummate tool, and is incapable of having novel thoughts) to leave the back door open and unlocked and unsupervised, in a situation that is clearly going to create numerous and meaningful threats from a particular hostile state that we are now bombing the shit out of.
So my money is that this is all part of The Plan (i.e. that they’re very intentionally leaving a huge opening for Iran to do something terroristic in the US), which will be used as a justification for, amongst other things, fully occupying Iran and fucking with and/or outright canceling the US federal midterm elections in November.
And as always the USI citizens are going to be the ones that suffer from their government’s actions. Unless it’s the maga that suffer, then that’s fine by me.
