Names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and encrypted passwords were compromised in the attack.
There are 33.1 million adult Canadians.
Yeah… wonder how an address of mine ended up in that dump. I’m from the EU and definitely never had any business with them.

Canadian Tire started as a tire store, but quickly branched out into all sorts of merchandise. You can buy Hudson’s Bay blankets from Canadian Tire.
Still never ordered anything from that. I even checked the list of other stores they apparently also own. I have really no idea wtf they would store my mail address. It’s a semi public one listed also on the blog and in various GIT commit entries so I kinda guess it’s scraped.
It’s accounts not people. And by accounts they just mean unique email address.
