Specifically, I like the ‘leaning spire’ effect, which I’ve used on a couple of my own pieces.

Hmm yes, the ‘unconscious effect,’ one might say. I’m a big fan of kids’ art for example, and I think they tend to be way ahead of us in terms of being self-conscious and such.
