You raise a good point. That would make for a very funny comic strip, wouldn’t it?
Whether it’s "funny’ would strongly depend upon the perspectives of the individual reading it. I enjoy a fair amount of Larson’s work, but this one ain’t doing it for me, I’m afraid.
I guess you’d have to have the knowledge of the use of canaries in old mining operations.
I’m aware of the “canary in a coal mine” reference & meaning.
