You absolutely can. Its just you actually have to show up first, and not focus on a single election, and vote pragmatically instead of with “principle”.
voting just shows ppl care about the state of world. Its difficult to fix the world if 30% of the ppl are right wing cultist, 30% dont care, and 10% think the options not good enough to slow down the right wing momentum.
I agree political Parties like dems are not the best solution. However, voting for them or third parties is important to slowing the momentum right. we need that so we can start pushing the momentum left.
