I just have a weird headache, but I don’t know if these are the symptoms. Also, everything feels unnerving, like I don’t feel at home. I’m trying to say everything felt comfortable. I try to tell AI and Google, but they are useless.

I did. I take buspirone and Risperdal. I don’t know if other people take it too. That’s what I’m also asking.

My docs put me on prozac (well, the generic version of it anyway; it’s cheaper). ~20mg/day seems to be about what I needed. Hope your meds are working out well and you’re less anxious now; get your docs to adjust them if not!

Fluoxetine I’m on 80mg. It’s a decent builder but way better than Zoloft or Lexapro. But the nice part about prozac being a builder is that (and I don’t recommend it) you can skip about two maybe maybe 3 days and be ok. For if your doctor office takes a long holiday weekend.

Ok screw it I am answering. Never took Risperdal but that is an anti psychotic. But never took that so can’t say too much about it. Buspirone is the anxiety. The way I read it (don’t hold me to this) is that it is used for when you get anxiety like Klonopin and Alprolazam can be. It is fast acting for those moments. Now what I would do (and it is a big bitch of a pill to swallow) is call your PCP and go over it. They will direct you to a psychiatrist (make sure it’s not a psychologist. Because the psychiatrist can get you on a drug regime) which will help you. If you were are or whatever as proud as I was, don’t be that way. It is ok to ask for help even though there still maybe a stigma attached to it but fuck that do what works for you. If you don’t like the way a medication speak up before it is too latte. I am currently (and this may not work for you just giving you my reference point) on Geodon 40 mg, Seroquil 300 mg (primarily for sleep) and lorazepan (so I don’t have an anxiety blast in the middle of the night). I take my prozac and welbutrin in the morning along with the prozac. Now welbutrin worked for me a whole hell of alot because it puts my brain on fire and can deal with the thousand things going on in my head at once (may not work for everybody…again don’t be afraid to speak up if you have a problem) that is why I post so much and fast. It’s like getting a flood light down to a laser point. I used to be trying to take a math test and try to focus on just the math problem but was thinking about the math problem, puting shirtless on the cover of Time, how China plays a now significant role in Geopolitical politics and their attitude toward Taiwan… you get the idea. But now it comes out focused as hell. Any way at this point I am rambling. Any questions ask. I got to a point in my life where IDGAF. Maybe a mid life crisis or whatever. But it is a big weight once you just quit giving a fuck about anything except the important stuff. Like health family finances and so forth. But anything can be changed to suit you. There are a lot of people in the world or just on the net who are always going to ask Why are you doing this, Why are you taking these, Why do you have this problem, Why do you seem different. Never surround yourself with people like that. Surround your self with people who say Why not, Why not get help. Why not take this course in life. It helps a lot. Ok tired of soap boxing it. Much love to all who made it through my writing.

I agree with the other person… medication isn’t one size fits all. I’m taking a medication for reasons that seem to be “off-label” usage after trying several different ones. If you feel like your medications aren’t helping to tackle the main issue, then it’s best to talk to your provider(s) about it.

That being said, mental health medications aren’t magic. And there’s never going to be something out there that solves everything. The right kind of therapy modalities with the right type of therapist(s) can take you further in particular areas that you’re struggling with.

Like with anxiety, for example. It’s such a broad as fuck category. You can try throwing meds at it, sure. And they may help to a degree. But do said person’s anxieties typical revolve around particular themes? In that case, targeting these themes with therapy is going to be helpful and is not necessarily treated the way as someone with other types of anxieties.

Someone with trauma based anxieties/reactions may respond to different types of medications and treatments versus someone with performance based anxieties for example.

Neither of the ones you mentioned are ones that I’ve tried so I can’t unfortunately give my experience with them. Have you been on them long?
