    also clonal trees typically, usually count as one. since some are vegatatively reproduced from sharing the same root system.

      Damn. This is complicated. We can’t even count 1-10 trees properly. How did someone manage to count all 3 trillion??

        probably estimated by area where trees are found. like quaking aspen clones are close to 80k years old(cloning for that long)
