I don’t even bother with most apps anymore unless I have to. I use the Photon UI, so https://p.lazysoci.al/ or https://photon.lemmy.world/

My wife and I had a trio of pigs. They are such funny and cool pets with the rumble strutting, popcorning and insane squeaks when they hear someone chopping vegetable from across the house :)

0·15 days agoIt is. It’s all clean and everything there is just called “the dogs chair” anyway so doesn’t get mixed up.

The UK government is like: “submit ID first before you use iPhone”, like WTF? As apparently, they are considering on making that the default way to unlock a cellphone whilst spying on you (like they already are) keeping tabs on what apps you’re currently using, have downloaded or purchases made online.
Source?
Honestly I’m torn on the whole issue but also at the same time I haven’t once submitted verification ID so nothing has changed for me. Hopefully it stays that way…
and people using Sam from Death Stranding for face ID is just hilarious :D
You could keep the chain going and pass it down to somebody else?

25·1 month agoIf you have any old hardware/laptop laying around then use that until you nail down what you actually want to do and need.
I don’t have any recommendations buy will say that my watch is one thing that I’ve changed over the last 2 years to be “just” a watch. I used to have a Huawei and Samsung and use it for tracking everything but I decided to get a Citizen Eco-Drive and haven’t looked back since. Can’t get more private than that :D

0·1 month agoThanks. I didn’t know about that one. It looks like a weird kids kart racer version of Rollcage but I’m going to give it a try.

0·1 month agoGRIP is a spiritual successor and is ,in my opinion, a better game than the originals. They actual teased a sequel just last week called GRIP XR which is exciting.

I’m not one to 100℅ anything but that’s impressive as combat is quite janky an tedious at times.
I would start by adding a couple more indexers but don’t go overboard. 3 or 4 should be good and then swap them out as needed. Also something to note is make sure you aren’t just “hit n run” on everything and seed properly.

0·2 months agoMan I do miss lightgun games. Die Hard Trilogy and Confidential Mission were my favourites at home but Time Crisis, and the 2nd game with co-op, was the perfect arcade game.

The alternative frontends need to be added to a Lemmy server by the admins so not everywhere has them. Lemmy.world has quite a few though which are listed in the sidebar.
