Passive income doesn’t exist. If it was possible to make money by doing nothing, everyone would be doing it. Those gurus rent out private jets and sports cars on loans to get your attention, and say “I’ll teach you my secrets” to get your money. In exchange you will get some entry level business advice that you can get from a Google search, probably with a hint of misogyny and racism. The closest you can get to a “passive income” realistically would probably be putting money into an investment account at a bank, owning a succeful company and hiring people to manage it for you, or owning some property to rent out. Unfortunately, all you already need to have money for, but starting a business is definitely doable. I don’t have any experience with starting a business though so I can’t give you any advice there.

What I can offer is maybe a different way of looking at things. You probably told some many of things like you need to find your passion and chase your dreams, but I believe that that way of thinking just doesn’t work for most people. I think a “dream job” doesnt exist for most people, because your life shouldn’t revolve entirely around your job. I believe your job shouldn’t be “an End” but it should be “a Means to an End.” Your job shouldn’t be your life, it should fund the life you want. You said you were young and had no talent, you just haven’t found your talent yet. It doesn’t need to be your “passion” just something you are good at and wouldn’t hate doing everyday. I think starting a business is your best bet if you want a “passive income” and if you have an industry that you already find interesting, you might want to get a job involved in that. Find out how thing should be run, and save up some money for a bit so you can branch out on your own. I hope this helps

I think a big part of the “rise of cancel culture” has to do with the Internet and how fast information can spread. Like if a director is a huge asshole to the crew and makes the actors stay on set for 18 hour days re-doing a scene for thousands of times without breaks, in the past no one outside of the cast and crew would have really known about that, maybe there’d be some rumors getting spread by tabloids. But now, you’d get a 4k smartphone camera video of the director flipping out and screaming at a gaffer for 15 minutes straight because a light is 0.001mm out of place. Or before all you knew about a musical artist was what they put in their songs and their sanitized personality for an interview, but with social media they can put their entire stream of consciousness on display for the world. It’s kinda weird when all of someone’s songs are about partying and having a good time, but on an average Tuesday the same person tweets out 174 times saying a certain group of people don’t have the right to even exist. I don’t need to agree with someone 100% to support their art, but there is definitely a point where they cross a line and I just can no longer justify supporting them. I know my choice to not watch a movie or listen to an artist is a drop missing from an ocean, but at least I get some piece of mind that I’m not supporting those actions/views. And even if the person is dead, it still matters who we idolize and who we vilify. If some celebrity is only talked about positively and everyone loves them but they married a 16 year old when they were 38, that might lead some people to believe that a relationship like that isn’t so problematic.

Any celebrity is still a person who has their own thoughts, opinions, and flaws. I don’t believe anyone should be put on a pedestal have their misdeeds be forgotten because they made a good painting, song, or movie. Art is an extension of a person who shaped that art with their thoughts, opinions, and flaws. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say, “Even though I like this art, I think the person who made it is an asshole and I am taking my time/energy/money elsewhere.” But that’s just how I feel. I may not agree with this thought process, but I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to say, “I don’t care who made this art or what their thoughts and opinions are, I like this art and I want to support it.” You do you

My friends and I all use Facebook’s messenger as our group chat and Discord for voice calls while gaming. That group chat is literally the only reason why I haven’t deleted my Facebook account yet. I have a Matrix space ready and have convinced a couple of people to make accounts and join the space, but it is just not being used at all. I was actually hoping someone was going to need to provide an ID to log into their discord account as that would most likely be the final push that moved everyone from messenger and discord over to Matrix, but so far it hasn’t happened and the Matrix space sits vacant

I really hate how deceptive they are. There’s a company called Virtual Dining Concepts that has like one location in an area, but they sign up as 30 or more different “restaurants” on delivery apps. All having the same menu and their items all have the same ingredients, and there are so many listings to trick you into ordering their food thinking you are trying a new local place called “Slutty Buns” or whatever

I’ve got no problem with those kinds of ghost kitchens, and some of my favorite places to get food from are take-out only too. This looks like one of the Virtual Dining Concepts kitchens where they have like 30 “restaurants” taking up space on delivery apps all having the exact same menu so you’re more likely to order from them than a local place

I spent a year of college studying in Europe. It is not a “downgrade” to study in another country, and (from a quick search) it looks like you’ve picked a really fucking good school. I would definitely recommend studying abroad for everyone who can wether it’s for the entirety of your degree, or for just a semester. Just know that culture shock is very real so get ready for that. Hope you go through with this decision and have fun in Singapore!
