Then how would you expect anyone to answer about a country specific think like health insurance without saying what country you’re in? Are you Japanese?

I’m sure you think the whole world revolves around you, but without giving your country, how can anyone answer this?
I’ll assume you’re in the UK, and suggest you use the NHS.
Not in my shower. But in other people’s, sure.

One day a month with no tech. Turn off my phone in the morning. No tv, no laptop. I listen to music, read books. It’s nice.

That was part of the name choice. It’s also the 3D version of square. Adding another dimension.

That wasn’t the reason. It’s mostly because cash app became so big that it got confusing if square was the company or the product. Same way Facebook became meta once the had Instagram.

Block is the parent company for square, cash app, tidal, afterpay. In the same way that meta runs Facebook and Instagram.

I’ve only ordered uber eats when travelling for work (and the company paid), but even then it was a bad experience. Took about an hour to get delivered, and the food was mediocre and expensive.

Tax is just everyone subsidising the power usage of the big users. People should pay for what they use, so it incentivises using less power.

Some sort of licensing might be appropriate above a certain power level, but a driver’s licence is not really relevant to riding a bike.

How do you know if a trans woman is passing? You probably only notice the ones that don’t.

“The Victorian-based LAG says it subscribes to the philosophy of lesbian feminism and does not believe humans can change sex.”.
Nobody’s suggesting people can change their biological sex. But gender is a social construct, separate from sex. That’s why it’s literally called transgender.

You use your words, I’ll use mine. But I think we agree.

I don’t know how possible it would be, but I think it’s a great point you make. If people took into account the full cost of driving, it would be higher than they think and in many cases push them to other modes of transport.

We have lots of speed cameras and red light cameras in Australia. Let the police focus on real crime, while the cameras work 24/7.

Yeah I’ve had mine for at least 3 years, riding several times a week, and it’s still going strong. Not expecting to replace it any time soon.

Probably makes sense. But they don’t enforce the ebike laws they already have, so will they enforce this?

Australia here, I have separated bike paths from right near my house into the city (downtown). That’s 11km without encountering a car. It’s great!

Does anything good come out of meta?
Yeah this device is not for me, but I’m glad it exists as it means software/OS will have to support 8gb ram for years to come, and my 16gb MacBook will benefit.
