The one party state, which was a byproduct of the revolution, led numerous terrible policies due to absolute authority of the party. I.e eliminate sparrows campaign, the four pest campaign in general, and overall inefficiency in a planned economy.

Back in the day slavery wasn’t thought as good like it was in the middle 19th century it was thought as a necessary evil since the economy of the south would collapse without it. Sadly many southerners began to see slavery more positively over the next few decades.
