I work fast food, and I could swear that I see the same 10 people over and over again, sometimes within 15 minutes of each other. I know they’re not the same people, but I couldn’t pick any of them out of a lineup. Most of them don’t have any characteristics that stand out, colored hair helps though. Maybe I just have an awful memory.

Obtain proof that this is true. Get some people that were potentially affected that might be willing to testify about it. Try to contact the major news outlets, hopefully at least one of them will report on this.

It’s a bellwether trial. They didn’t immediately go to a class action. Not a lawyer, but I think they probably want to see if a single case works before creating a massive one.

It should be one’s own morality, yes. But I find it rather obvious that many individuals lack sufficient morality to act in the interest of others. Laws, and the punishments for breaking those laws, are supposedly meant to force the actions of the immoral to align with that of the moral as far as public safety is concerned. Of course, this is only true when the laws are just, but the prevention of people driving while high is a worthwhile goal, and it is reasonable to punish those that partake in methamphetamines while operating a large hunk of metal that can easily kill people.

In the case of this gentleman, I suppose not. However, I believe that driving after consuming drugs that impede your ability to drive should have a punishment of some kind. It is a matter of public safety. It’s irresponsible to drink and drive, it’s irresponsible to be on heroin while driving.

Maybe I’m just insane, but I think that laws making it illegal to be on meth while driving are reasonable. That’s just me though.

Extremely unresponsible to be driving under the influence of hard drugs. If someone is going to be smoking meth and fentanyl, they should at least have the reason to not be driving.

Interesting. I work at an American McDonald’s, most of my coworkers express disdain for the customers, although they typically don’t let them know that they hate them. However, if someone orders 13 burgers cooked to order, that shit isn’t happening. Personally, I’m probably nicer than I should be. A significantly more common problem is the customers being assholes to us. They act like pricks at the window where they pay, but act a little nicer when they get their food. I guess that nobody that’s at a McDonald’s is having a good day, so I understand to an extent.
