You guys are both off in your thinking. Credit card companies didn’t give rewards to get your spending data, they did it to get you spending. If people don’t spend on their credit cards, people don’t get charged large amounts in interest.

The biggest issue that no “renewables” people want to address it the fact that without oil there are no “renewables“, or civilisation as we know it. Oil is in everything, used to make everything, and used to transport everything everywhere. It’s not hyperbole to say that there is literally no replacement for oil.
