Using LLMs for development is fantastic as long as you know how to use it, which is how it is for every tool.

The difference with LLMs and other tools is that anyone can use them easily and get incredible results……as long as you don’t look under the covers. The developers that use them well are getting results and code that are indistinguishable from code they’d write themselves.

Yep I’ve got nearly 30 years of professional dev experience and Claude code/copilot/etc are absolutely groundbreaking.

It’s not a “web app”. It’s a native Windows app. A photo library app that indexes every single photo so you can search them with natural language like “green shirt”, group people by facial recognition, and edit photos, using under 1GB of RAM is impressive.

On the contrary - the people who tell you AI doesn’t add any value and will disappear in a few years are either lying, dumb, or completely ignorant of what AI can already do.

Websites and web applications don’t trust the user though, or at least they shouldn’t. They should all be doing server side verification and checking of anything the user inputs. This is why some banks will let you use their website on an old phone but not their app.

They won’t trust your device no matter how secure you say it is. That’s my point. Just because you say a device is secure doesn’t mean it’s secure, and it doesn’t mean it gets treated as if it’s secure.
