Star Raiders and Berserk are pretty good. Star Raiders was way ahead of it’s time.

I had never played any Atari games until a few years ago. This one became an instant favorite the moment I played it.

Gamecube- best games overall imo. Also has some of the best ones from the N64. If you have the GB player you can also play any of those games on the tv which is sick as fuck.

Game Boy Advance SP- fantastic system with a monster library due to it’s impressive level of backwards compatability. If I were a billionaire I’d buy every Game Boy I could get my hands on.

Famicom- has a large library and started several of the biggest franchises in gaming history. It also has so many cool add ons we never got outside of Japan. The carts come in all the colors of the rainbow so just having a collection of them looks dope as hell on a shelf. Additionally, the NES can’t hold a candle to the music in FDS games.

Honorable mentions for me would be N64, as it gave us some of the best games ever made, including my top two favorite games of all time. I would also like to give one to the original Xbox. Watching Halo become a global phenomenon from nothing was a magical experience. Breaks my heart to see Bungie as a shell of it’s former self. One last one for the DS/3DS lines. The backwards compatability was also excellent on these systems. It created gameplay experiences that still can’t really be fully recreated now without playing on original hardware. Also streetpass was one of the best features ever included in any game system.

I dabble a bit, but I generally prefer using original hardware. Thanks for the recommendations though.

Reading the Wikipedia page, it kinda sounds like a soft reboot rather than a direct sequel or a port. Kinda like the recent Starfox remake in a way. But to be fair, I don’t know that much about these games.

I’ve never been able to play a Dreamcast unfortunately. This game is certainly on my list to play though. I even bought a copy of Soul Calibur to play once I find a good price on a Dreamcast. But currently, it just sits on my shelf with no ability to play it lol.

Interesting, several of these I have only ever played the home release of. It would be neat to see the differences in person. I totally forgot about the name changes on the Soul Edge series.

I never got very good with arcade fighters. The only one I’ve ever been okay at was Soul Calibur 2, but I don’t know if that actually had a cabinet or not. I’ve never seen one if it does. Makes me feel like I kinda missed out on a big chunk of the arcade loving community. But I know if I ever go against anyone who knows what they are doing, I will get my ass handed to me lol.

I stopped using a smart watch I used to use all the time because Samsung started requiring location services to be on to use it. Immediately made me drop it and I stopped buying anything Samsung after that. Not only would I never be okay with having that on all the time, it’s fucking insane to start making that a requirement for a device that never required that out of the box.

As a bonus one, I’ll never buy anything Playstation ever again for obvious reasons.

At a certain point, you do have to hold people accountable and they cannot use mental health as an excuse for acting like a piece of shit. It’s not overused to describe someone that has praised Hitler on several occasions. I think downplaying it when people have shown their true colors is far more dangerous. If you want to be pedantic, I guess we can call him a Nazi sympathizer instead.

Actually RSPCA (largest animal welfare charity in the UK) recommends only taking them out on a harness. A working animal on a farm is a little different than just letting your pet roam the streets of your neighborhood. The vast majority of animal and veterinary experts (even in the UK) disagree with you. Just because you see people being irresponsible with their pets doesn’t make it a good idea. There is a ton of research that shows how cats decimate local wildlife. It also shows how it puts your own cat at risk for diseases, larger predators, or even being killed by humans. The information is not wrong just because you have latched onto your own bias.

It’s not so much that they think you’re incapable of hunting. It’s moreso that they just like you and bring gifts. However, like others have said in here, cats absolutely should not be let outside and there is a ton of research that backs that up. The best solution is to educate your friend on how damaging their behavior is to the environment as well as how it puts their cat in danger as well. I know many people in the veterinary field and they all agree that cats should not be let outside unless they are on a harness.

I wish I could, but that price is way too high for me to justify it. If the price ever comes down I would be happy to see about getting one. I think at that price point it’s only really accessible to enthusiasts with a lot of disposable income. There were a lot of more casual gamers that were interested in the machine before the price. They were able to get a deck at a $300-400 mark and they were interested to see what the Steam Machine would be offered at. But I am certain at this price that none of those people are going to get one. I’m sure the price is due to AI fucking everyone and not because Valve just wants to squeeze out money. But I think the result of this is that it’s not going to be the widespread go-to option for a lot of gamers. It definitely hurt it’s chances with a ton of potential customers.

This is a minor plot point in Subnautica 2. Personally, I think that since you’d be reuploading a copy of your psyche, the “you” that currently exists would still die. The copy may retain the memories and seem functionally identical to you. But I still think the “you” that exists in your head would cease to exist after a reupload. For that reason, I don’t like the idea.

I mean, it’s objectively not considering it’s called a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

It depends on the medication. There are certainly plenty of generic medications that were originally designed for people that will work just fine for cats and dogs. But for animal specific meds, the short answer is that there just isn’t enough money in veterinary medical research. The demand just isn’t there to create a cheap generic alternative. Drug companies will create a formula that can help animals with specific problems, and then they patent the hell out of it and charge whatever they want. This happens with uncommon meds for people too. But you usually don’t hear about it because there aren’t that many people that need it. There are so many more generics for people because there is so much more money put into medical research for humans. Animal medicine is mostly built off of the research done for human medicine. So since it has less research and funding, you end up with a lot of expensive name brand meds for animal specific issues.

Honestly, there is so much more to the Famicom than the NES so no not exactly. The Famicom had a lot of additions that were exclusive and provided a significantly different experience. Just look up the music differences between a lot of Famicom and NES games as one example.

This is the problem with electing “strongmen” leaders. They care more about winning and looking tough, than they do about carefully navigating a difficult situation.
