Not just the double-slit for quantum mechanics, but it applies to people too. In a workplace, the second you start evaluating performance based on a metric, it ceases to be a useful metric. Why? Because people will shit the bed willingly in every other aspect of their job if it makes the number their boss looks at better. At that point, “highest performers” are really just the best bullshitters who can fake short-term benefits in lieu of long-term solutions, and all of them just make things worse overall.

Just had this experience with some .png files I downloaded. Apparently Chrome, which i used on my work computer to get some game files, downloads images in .webp by default. Even if specifically saved as other formats. Game wouldn’t recognize my pngs until I changed them back to .webp like you described, opened them in PS, and exported as .png. The filetype does some funky stuff

Not necessarily ICBMs or anything. We’ve been seeing tons of evidence about how effective drone and missile strikes are nowadays. I’m just saying it wouldn’t surprise me if some of these things were actually small attack attempts. The US has certainly pissed off enough of the world to incite some, even more so than usual at this point.

More like they weren’t meteors as the news stations claimed, but failed/intercepted strikes. Not saying that’s the case, I won’t pretend to be knowledgeable enough about weapons to say anything. Just seems odd we’re seeing a spike in rare events like that when there’s also a huge spike in drone/missile strikes worldwide. It just wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn some of this astronomical/meteorological stuff was more man-made than originally claimed is all.

Theater i worked at did captions in little boxes on arms you stuck in the cupholder. It just sat there and displayed text, and you could adjust the arm so it sat where you wanted. Maybe see if local theaters do subs in your language?
