Für everyone with crappy Obamacare, there are five who can’t afford it.

Lenin’s point in What Is To Be Done? was that there is no middle ground between revolutionary socialism and liberalism! Any de-emphasis of Marxist theory strengthens bourgeois ideology by default. What makes this dangerous is that the party, functionally, absorbs the energy of dedicated, loyal people who want to be revolutionaries and channels it into work that never actually threatens power, abandoning the necessary and patient work of developing leadership prepared to support the working class in times of crisis.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Would it be considered trespassing when my psycho landlord closes my bedroom window from the outside?
0·16 days agoNot everywhere offers that either. That’s the pitfalls of asking online. One may get hundreds of replies that aren’t helpful, to get one or a few that are. A lot of times I got zero useful replies in and of themselves, but useful in that they gave me another actionable idea.

Nazi.world will probably pull this unless you post it to progressive politics. Not that anyone with the attention span of gnats will watch it, just saying.
The entire video, including q&a is extremely important. Thanks for sharing.

0·22 days agoI really need to find and appraise reading material on socialist psychology. In the West, “criminally insane,” would only apply if they have diminished capacity to apprehend if their actions are wrong, and I’m really honestly wrestling with that question.

0·23 days ago“This system builds a signal bridge between the brain and the peripheral nerves,” said Zhang Xin, head of the department of neurological rehabilitation at Zhongnan Hospital. “It turns patients from passive recipients of rehabilitation into initiators. They can sense in real time how the brain and muscles work together and see their strength gradually return,” the Changjiang Daily reported.
Compared with traditional rehabilitation, Zhang said, recovery time has been cut by more than half.
The company said that the system was initially introduced clinically at Zhongnan Hospital in May. Since then, nearly 10 patients have undergone treatment there, mainly those with hemiplegia, spinal cord injuries and postoperative neurological dysfunction.
That’s pretty cool. I think of two living people I know who could walk again, if they had access. And two who have passed.
We’re not stopping it, failing a major Carrington event that destroys all satellites. We may as well aim to make it less harmful and more beneficial.
