Women need makeup because there is an entire insldustry dedicated to making them feel bad about their looks so they can sell makeup that makes women feel better. To be fair, i ended up getting another pi4 and setting it up with tailscale, samba, and jellyfin to give to my dad. As he kept needing to ask me how to get logged into my server. Now he just uses the tv app for jellyfin. I use samba to send him films and shows when he needs them and i remove his old ones in the same way. Works well. But i am now managing two libraries :p

I set up tailscale on my jellyfin box and my family can use their phone to access the server by turning on tailscale (just open the app and toggle it on then open jellyfin) and cast to their Tv. Not as smooth as plex but works for us and the tailscale means its all encrypted.

I run it on a raspberry pi4 that is also my pihole and after turning off transcoding its runs beautifully. Running in a docker container. With 1tb ssd attached via usb 3 the whole setup cost me about £100 and has been working for about a year now.

People look at me with such skepticism when i talk like this, i just don’t want for crazy money. Sure i want some luxuries in life and want to be comfortable. But i don’t have a clue what i could spend millions and millions on. Especially when there are so many suffering in the world.

But people just cant believe it when i say it. Honestly makes me feel like i grew up on another planet when i see the greed in peoples eyes as they cant cope with the idea that i would give my money away.

Honestly, i would buy a slightly bigger house, a nice holiday, put away a chunk for my kids inheritance and then give the rest away. I dont need all that money. I dont care if people think i am dumb for that. I dont want it. Other people need it.
