77·2 months agoHe struggles with ramps and walking unassisted. He’s an elderly man with dementia. I’m pretty sure a gentle push or some uneven ground could end him.

tattoos areavocado toast is for wealthy or semi wealthy people? Why not use that money in a CD, Volunteering, or Donations? Kind of feels a bit selfish?Don’t get me wrong
tattoos areavocado toast is great I have seen very neat ones. But I have also seen people who can barely afford anything or just down on their luck get avocado toasta tattoo? Where are the priorities at?

You absolutely deserve connection with others, we all do. There’s an expectation that you and I have that really hurts us and makes that hard to accept though. I wish I had more concrete or resonating advice to give. Honestly it was a lot of therapy and work just to get to where I am.

The best I’ve got is to be more selfish and be okay with the idea that people and relationships are temporary. When a relationship feels like an event and not a forgone conclusion it doesn’t hurt as bad when it ends. It also helped me with grounding myself and reinforcing that my emotions are not always mirrored and are not factual.
7·4 months agoRight? That is not my preferred skill set and I don’t enjoy those things. I like understanding and designing patterns. I like feeling connected to the code and problems I’m solving, and I like feeling clever when I come up with solutions.
AI takes all of that away. It’s got more data than I can ever cram in my skull, more energy than I’ll ever have available to me, and it’s being forced on us at every corner so it has access to things I’ll never see.
Honestly I would be okay with LLMs if they weren’t killing our planet and robbing us of our humanity and creativity.
