I’ve wanted to do this in conjunction with Aldi using only aldi ingredients for a long time now. I’ve always wanted to make a rehearsal video and send it to them. Think they’d go for it?

I dont think people realize how easy this would be if we actually made our politicians do their jobs. If we did this 5 years ago, think of the infrastructure we could have funded with the proceeds. Screw a giant worthless penis space ship, we could have funded schools to a crazy degree or made health care work.

I might be dumb here, but pink lemonade is made from the bidding flowers from a bush. They are very tart and taste like lemon because they are full of ascorbic acid too. The flower in the bud is pink and makes pink lemonade.

I’ve got a bowel obstruction 2 years ago and i had to pay 6k for my deductible and my insurance paid 12k. I got a tube down my nose, some xrays and stayed a night. I currently know its going to happen again any day now and it almost happend two nights ago and I was in horrendous pain. I could go to the doctor and they could probably help me and stop it from happening again. However, I dont have 6k to spare to find out. So until it is debilitating, we’ll just have to see what happens.

Yeah, you go into a doctor’s office and they’ll have 5 secretaries to handle all that paper work. I didnt do Healthcare, but for a minute I was a service administrator for a car dealership who’s job, among 7 of us, was to do the billing and warranty/insurance claims. The paperwork was insane and had to be presented in a precise way or it wasn’t accepted. I can only imagine what hoops health insurance makes these offices jump through.

They probably trust him because their livelihoods are tied to coal, the same as him. He probably makes bold statements about keeping coal flowing and jobs going.

Yeah, I’ve had some friends in aquaculture and it’s a huge deal and has been for a long time. The bleaching of paper causes it too. He just went on a rant and said it all wrong.

As someone who lived off of tips for a a couple decades, I agree with all of this despite the down votes. It’s a skill. The people down voting would be flabbergasted by how hard the job is working in a nice, busy place.

Radio is a dying market that’s going away like so many other things. They don’t know what to play anymore. My car picks my phones Bluetooth up when I turn my car on and I can play anything I want. Radio stations dont know what to do because what’s classic rock anymore? They’ll play like a nickleback song, then back in black by AC DC and then… here’s pink floyd simply because they dont know what to play. Talk Radio with a million commercials can’t compete with podcasts. No one cares about top 50 stations anymore. What’s left? And who even cares? Car dealerships lose because now they can’t yell at you about deals that don’t really exsist.

I recently cheated on lemmy with reddit for a couple days. I’m back to lemmy. I like the community more and I find myself scrolling way less. I get what I would want to get out of reddit without sooooo much bullshit that you end up scrolling for an hour without even realizing it.

Can you imagine what it must be like to have a stake in roku when you get the news that the company is going to be sold for 22 billion? Do you just immediately nut and throw up at the same time?

As a parent to 12,14,18,20 year olds. Its interesting. The biggest problem was covid. It sent everyone to their computers and stunted all of their social growth. These are not my words, this is what my very wise 14 year ols says. Nobody “hangs out” with anyone anymore. They are afraid of all social situations, even the popular cool kids are so dumb and oblivious that they know it. So one little push and they fold like a house of cards. These kids will not rage against the dying of the light, they will willingly be marched into the trenches.

Yeah, im 41, i have a wife, a nice house, 2 cars, 4 kids, 3 dogs and quite a bit of debt. I wouldn’t trade any of that for the world, but i would love 100k in the bank…
