  • sick people are profitable

    For the care providers? Yes.

    For the insurance companies? No.

So what ends up happening is the parasite class ends up draining you of money while you don’t need it. Then, when you’re sick or injured, the parasites deny your claims generated from the health care. That way you don’t have enough money to cover your medical bills independently. So, you die without care and drained of resources, and the health-care providers eat up your carcass trying to recover their share. This ends up being the most ecconomical outcome for all parasites.

  • It really depends on various factors like how far into the pregnancy she is (travel when you’re 2 months in is vastly different to travel when you’re 8 months in), how urgent the need to travel is (traveling to go to an anime convention is vastly less urgent than traveling to lay your mom to rest), how far you’re traveling (a weekend saunter to the next town over is different than traveling half way around the globe (which it sounds like she did)), whether the doctor overseeing your care says its okay, and other stuff.

  • Yeah cars are bullshit. Yeah these vehicles are monstrosities that guzzle gas.

But, sedans are too low to the ground. As a tall person, I need something SUV-sized (regular SUV like a buick envoy) just to get out of. The whole world is designed around someone who is ~5’7". I am 6’3". Getting in and out of vehicles, off of low rise furniture, and reaching down to get stuff off if grocery store shelves is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

I need a taller vehicle just to get out of. I basically have to crawl just to get in and out of an uber sedan.

*Edit: I wish there was viable mass transit here. I’d rather have convenient metro rail. Absent that, I want an electric SUV
