Now that nesting season is over they’re extra vocal.

Yup a woodpecker. There are two varieties in the US too. In the East we have the yellow-shafted variety and in the West they have the red-shafted. They can interbreed and their offspring can have a mix of red and yellow. Definitely a pretty woodpecker.

He’s traitor scum and should lose his head.

Wow that’s awesome. Perfect for the Halloween aesthetic too.

It’s quite common to look up and see them gliding around barely flapping. I’ve heard they love to catch hot pockets of air to give them more lift. An underappreciated raptor for sure. Nature’s cleanup crew.

I can see how that’s both cool and annoying. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a few decent sized groups of ten or so, but never a giant flock.

Yup, they’re too cool. It’s a shame they’re often portrayed in a negative light in media.

An underappreciated bird for sure. Much more beautiful than most media portrays them as.

An underrated bird for sure

Yeah, probably like 15’ or so. There were some trash bags on the side of the road and two of them where doing flybys.

I’ve seen a bunch this year too. Which hopefully is a good sign

I hope I get to see some rare ones this year. I’ve been finding Lincoln’s sparrows recently, which are fairly rare.

As compared to the age of the Earth, hummingbirds have only been around for 0.49% of the time 😜

Interesting, I had no clue of any poison ivy remedy. It has always been one of my favorite late summer flowers.

Was checking out this cute buteo not too long ago

You say that, and I hate that album, but it’s a legendary meme now and that’s probably better than if it was Load/Reload 3.0.

What did Metallica do now?

I wish I could say I’m surprised, but were a sick degenerate society. All in the name of money, power, and clout. Y’all can have it.

And now they look like the righteous party. Only the US could fuck up so bad that the oppressive theocracy of Iran fights the morally superior fight.

I haven’t seem a doctor since 2013. Ain’t no way I could afford that bill. Thankfully I’ve had no major health complications or I’d be zeroed out and still probably owe money.
