Ice-T did not receive any money from Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” because he was in a publishing deal at the time, which meant he did not get paid for the song. The original song was released in 1993, and Jay-Z’s version in 2004 did not include any financial compensation for Ice-T.

First time I heard this, someone told me that this rap band sampled Slayer. I had to check it out. I was addicted,… The next was the Beastie Boys.
