FYI: the word “game” in the phrase “the most dangerous gane” refers to the people being hunted, not the activity itself!
Just as deer are “game animals”, the humans are game in this particular hunt. But a human is far more dangerous than most animals we hunt, thus the phrase.

Using the price of the equipment as a reason was not a great decision 😅 Sure, the deprecation of your equipment is part of what the customers pay for, but any sane person would value their time much higher than that (unless the equipment is something ridiculous like an oil tanker).
And living with a photographer has taught me that it takes a lot of time! Just picking out which of the 800+ images from an event you want to show to the client for final choice is quite a job. And that’s before you even start to look at editing, which is always needed.
And then there is expertise. My SO knows what to do and how to do it because of her experience. You pay for that as well, and it should be worth quite a bit if you care about the quality of what you’re purchasing.
Came to say this! Drug addicts need help, not jail. Sure, if they commit a crime police should be involved, but it’s not going to cure their addiction!

Not in my country. All the things on the left are still true, but predators isn’t really something parents are (or need to be) worried about. Also, there are a lot more cars now than 40 years ago.

The thing is, the Japanese language has very few sounds compared to most languages, so their loan words have to be forced into the system of sounds they have.
For «hamburger» specifically, they don’t have any of the vowel sounds in the English word. They also lack the rhotic «r» sound, or really any «r» sound at all. Their «a» sound is an open sound as in «say aah», so they just ended up using a long version of it to approximate the «ur» and «er» sounds (which are really similar in American English!).
