I moved to another country, but it still took until my early 40s.

How is he nailing the bones? They’re all long bones at right angles with only one point of contact on the upper structure. This is clearly a job for different attachment technology.
The safety squint makes it harmless!

11·2 days agoMy company has been reducing force multiple times and did one round in a particularly shitty way. Our bonuses were the lowest ever this round despite us all having had to carry more weight. They wonder why our morale is shit.
I was curious about the family connection. Was the mother already rich/famous? It implies the subject didn’t buy her mom the first car, so I assume so. The wikipedia linked didn’t have anything for a ctrl+f on ‘mother’
I appreciate it, but you re-explained the parts that I did understand. Who is this Jennie? Why does their parent have a porche? Who’s the person commenting (in the event that it matters vs just some random internet person)./

The circles contain more circles. Do I win?
If I’m supposed to see anything other than that, it’s not happening (that last one might be an L or something?)

Couple of her urs is fine, more with a book. .otherwise, I guess I’m the 1%. Oh, and allergy meds first is a requirement
You do realize you can temporarily remove them, right?
In the US, nearly anyone can sue for nearly anything. It doesn’t mean that they would win, but it can make life very painful for the party being sued.

open-plan offices cut my productivity a ton; I could no longer concentrate and think because of all the noise and talking. Very glad I don’t have an office to go in to now.
Fish sauce adds umami so you can throw it a lot of things. I always use some in my chili.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you have any common recipes from other countries that sounded completely weird to you when you first heard of them?English
0·6 days agoOver a decade in Japan and I still struggle with natto and never order it. I got over the smell. I don’t really care for the slimy/string texture of things, but I can eat other things. If I try to eat more than one or two beans at a time, I involuntarily gag. Some flavor component of it kills me. I make my own ferments (Korean-inspired daikon with fish sauce, chili, and some other stuff is the most recent, fermented at room temp for a few days then into the fridge) and have no trouble with them.

A smaller/older/cheaper home, specifically in a country where it is expected to be sellable for a profit later to “climb the housing ladder” with a more expensive house (and repeat until maybe downsizing after retirement).
