Yes, the US has a floor on panel prices coming that will fix the retail price at .35 per watt, if imported. It’s possible for a US manufacturer to sell for less, like .34.

Given the tarrifs and price flow in the BBB, panel prices will never be lower than .35 a watt (imported panels must cost that much or a dirty will be applied for the difference). Two Bit DaVinci covers it at 3:00 in this video: https://youtu.be/1nvhe2h82hY?is=5ivY0bV9cxC9T1h5

I am very glad for this ruling. But, like everything, even a loss for Trump is used as a win. After a shellacking in November, Trump will say it’s because of corrupt mail in voting. Because America is polarized into two main echo chambers, half the country will believe it. And just like the results of 2020, the “facts” you believe will be determined by your voter registration.

At least in my community in CA, we expanded safe housing for the unhoused by opening several hundred mini apartments in a converted motel, and a new five story building, in association with a non-profit, Mercy House. The two sites have social services on site, with career counseling available, social services, etc. I guess it’s a modified “housing first” model that seems to be working.
It’s a new policy that will take effect by the end of the year. It’s party of our current administration’s tarrifs efforts to boost American manufacturing. I disagree with it, like I do most of what our current government is doing.
