Well, I stand corrected. Even less reason to not switch to Graphene.

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know.
I think of myself as a data hog also, but only on my computer; I’m mostly a minimalist on my phone.
I can’t accept the fact that there is no external sd card support.
OK, this is going to sound dismissive, and I really don’t mean it to be. But why?
For data transfer, you can still use the USB port (I do it all the time). Other than that, there’s more than enough storage available onboard for any reasonable amount of usage. I don’t even really keep anything critical on my device at all, so what there is is kind of overkill already.
I just don’t understand the need for an SD card with storage being as plentiful now as it is. I want to understand.
You can’t do mobile deposit, but surely you can still just use the bank’s website.

I didn’t say intervention. I said exploitation. And people care enough about it when it’s too hard to ignore.
This is different. It’s like playing a racing video game via trading cards. They’re giving the car directions just like a person might give a driver directions.
People care if tech companies are hiding exploitation under the veneer of “advancement.”
Too much lag, on top of human reaction time. They’re just stepping in when the car is stopped, telling it where to go, and dropping out again. They’re not doing actual direct control.

0·8 days agoLoved the joke, and it gives me an idea that might actually make this work: rather than sending it to a random homeless shelter every day, send it to a veteran’s shelter.

0·8 days agoIf you pull some random amount off the stack every day and store it to pass along on the next day, and build up a rolling reserve before pulling from that reserve for invasion day, you could hide that tell pretty effectively.

0·8 days agoAnd what is he going to do with all of those “diversion” pizzas?
Seems like that could be a good way to feed the hungry in DC: order a large and semirandom number of pizzas to the Pentagon every night, then distribute them to homeless shelters; on nights when you’re planning or executing ops, just add to the order enough for your operation and pull them off of the pile before you redirect the rest to the shelters.
But the party of “lol your poor git gud” wouldn’t dream of such a thing. More likely they’ll toss them in the dumpster.
Fair enough. I guess I’m just overly sensitive to the broad-strokes assumption that any given thing is an AI “smoking gun” since I’m an em dash user.
(“it’s not just x, it’s y”, etc.)
Keep in mind, the AIs learned from us. So that’s a thing in AI responses because humans use that structure. Same with em dashes.

0·11 days agoI’m not sure how much about a regular bike needs to be any more open source than it already is. The patent has long since expired. It’s not like there’s any major bike manufacturer trying to lock in owners.

I’ve always said I’ll listen to music more when I get through my podcast backlog and audiobook backlog. Neither of those seem particularly…imminent, lol.
