No, they are saying that this is #1 barrier for their happiness. So, not stopping the state-sponsored genocide, or getting rid of masked thugs that erode their basic freedoms, or having a healthcare safety net. They just wished they could afford more stuff.

I enjoyed this so much more as it was at 24 upvotes when I came upon it. Just barely qualifies for plural of dozen.

This is my 2nd favourite Mac track, but that’s just because the Albatross takes me somewhere out of space and time. David Bennett has a great harmonic analysis video that made me appreciate The Chain even more.

Do it to have a laugh but don’t kid yourself this will change anything. Your time is limited and precious, the machine can scale beyond our comprehension. It doesn’t feel and can’t be humiliated or humbled.

It’s not even about skill atrophy, it’s more subtle. You can quickly relearn forgotten skills.

Unlearning a habit, on the other hand, is much harder. If you get into habit of reaching for AI anytime something hard needs to get done it’s going to wreck your internal motivation and reward system. meme_historian describes it really well in this thread, I noticed the same thing happening to me.
