I don’t see this disputed so much as I see the need for “all science requires methodology”. I find it ridiculous that research in technical areas like LLMs has given up on any pretence of reproducibility.

science@lemmy.world•These trees are making air quality in cities worseEnglish
0·3 days agoHere is the explanation from the article that contradicts its title:
Ozone forms when volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by some vegetation, vehicles and chemical industries react with nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are emitted mostly by traffic and industry. A series of reactions between these compounds in the presence of sunlight causes ozone to form. Breathing in ozone can inflame or damage the airways, causing breathing difficulties, particularly in people with asthma or lung disease.

0·3 days agoI’m not that convinced that not responding to “how’s everybody doing with their communities” is indicative of anything.
Would also be nice if they start explicitly treating the threadiverse as groups. This is already doable, but some usability sweeteners would make it much more accessible. It’s an absolute win-win for everyone on the fediverse.
That’s amazing progress. My next wish: being able to see past DMs with someone.
Wow, this is exciting. Looking forward to learn quite a bit.

0·2 months agoNot that I’m getting into it, but do you have ideas for fundraising for such organisational work?
They are devs, which is different from mods. No need for the same person to do both roles. I’d even say that admins and mods should be separate.

I struggle to imagine what would be a possible meaningful answer.
“I’ve hand 15 posts and 6 comments in the 11 communities I moderate, but the mood on this part of the world is gloomy because of politics”?
