They probably did, they just wanted it to be clickbait as with most things online these days


I don’t know whether they are idiots or just that they know most people are even bigger idiots


I mean that’s the cynical view largely based on how conditions in mainly one particular country have developed sure, but it’s not philosophically what economics is about (which is allocating resources in a utility maximising way)
The problem is that in theory the workers also are supposed to own the factories and get a slice of the profits. This is what shares are for. Unfortunately, in practice, a larger and larger chunk of people seem to be getting excluded from that bit.
The Telegraph has always been a conservative broadsheet newspaper in the UK so it wouldn’t surprise me, it’s basically the opposite of The Guardian
