for my homelab i went with free tier of hetrixtools. it monitors uptime from different locations and has a number of alert options (email, webhook, etc.). free tier was enough for my small needs. as a bonus it also alerts for certificates nearing expiry, smtp monitor, heartbeat. pretty good for hobbyists.

agreed, this signals a healthy community and i actively seek out such passionate groups. Bots blindly reposting on the other hand signals spam.
as long as developers are aware of limitations and shortcomings of LLMs in coding, have an understanding of best practices in coding, and are upfront about how they use coding agents, i don’t think there is an issue with such projects or using such tools responsibly

I use grocy for this. It has task tracking and along with other home management stuff its a good solution.

if you use torrents without a VPN it can cause problems. For general streaming websites i dont think there would be any issue. soulseek also would not be an issue. The ISP reports usually come when you seed/leech a public torrent and there are bots that automatically send IP notice to the ISP of the IP they see (since its public). Therefore using private trackers is a bit more secure in this manner but for the best solution use a VPN.
