That’d be cool! I feel it could be a news segment not too long after though lol.
Well, the game-master is making the server increasingly class-locked and I’m not sure if Lumberjack is a class that’s needed rn. You can check the FAQ tho… I do know that we need support classes pretty bad (Nurse, Doctor, etc.) but that’s just because they’ve advertised it.
I sometimes imagine a future where, if someone suddenly lost access to LLMs/AI agents, they wouldn’t be able to function properly or maybe wouldn’t even be able to hold a conversation. The more dramatic side of me imagines them essentially going comatose but that’s silly. Hopefully.
They essentially outsourced their writing and speaking ability, and it atrophied (Broca’s and Wernicke’s area).
British Columbia just switched to permanent daylight savings. :3

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you still remember the layout of all the houses/apartments you've lived in? Are there any other places where you still have a "map" of in your head?English
0·6 days agoEasy, most of the places I’ve lived in are one bedroom apartments.
This suggests there is Dear Faith I - IV, where are they? I must know.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is using a copyrighted image/image that isn't yours as an avatar actually okay?English
0·6 days agoYeah as long as there’s no money involved. Like if Mr. Beast was using someones artwork as his profile pic without [citation?], that’d be shitty and there likely would be legal action; however, if it was his personal use account that no one knows about and isn’t monetized, there’s no issue.
Just tell us who it is that created it ig… or don’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

0·6 days agoFunky. If they did fix it it took them at least two and a half years to do it.

0·7 days agoI remember a mod someone made for New Vegas that made all your items render in a loose ball on your back. Really shows how silly it is.
I was never able to get mods to work with New Vegas as I run a Linux system, but maybe you could try an inventory mod to help you like the game. I think figuring out how to do that would be worth it, it’s a great game.

0·7 days agoSable. At first it was amazing… the music, the world and the characters were all so well done. It was such an immersive experience. I’d probably still be playing it right now even after completing it (also the only game I would have bothered to get all the cheevos); however, nearer to the end of the game there’s a huge glaring bug the devs never bothered to fix: the best hover bike in the game bugs out whenever you drive over a sand dune and there are sand dunes everywhere in the game. That’s like the main feature of the world; it’s a desert planet. Every time you ride over a sand dune at top speed you’d spin every which way, your character would disappear, you’d stop moving and end up upside down halfway outside the map. One of the main selling points of the game was riding your hover bike around the world exploring places and just chilling out to the excellent music… well, this bug ruins the first two so all that’s left is the music.
It’s too bad… I really loved the game up to that point, which just so happened to be near the end where I couldn’t refund it… I don’t like badmouthing devs because there’s a LOT of work that goes into making a game that I don’t understand; however, no matter the reason, that’s a shitty thing to do. Such a massive bug that ruins the game should be fixed… but they were incapable of doing so and likely never will. My final words on this topic are: Incompetent assholes.
I think you have it backwards. The Jim Carrey that Inducted Soundgarden into the RnR Hall of Fame isn’t the real one, or rather, it’s his stage persona. The Jim Carrey that accepted the César award is the real one… he was tearing up and just being present and whole. I don’t really understand French, but to me it seemed like he was genuinely happy and grateful to accept the award as opposed to ‘You’re paying me to do this so I’ll do it.’
Someone sort of translated his speech here, or at least the gist of it ig:
https://deadline.com/2026/02/jim-carrey-french-roots-rare-public-appearance-cesar-honor-1236737944/
His 2014 appearance was weird, but I think he was dealing with a lot of mental stress that he wasn’t able to effectively deal with. His speech at the César Awards was not weird and I don’t know why you think it is.
