I haven’t found too many that have his understanding of it, particularly from the perspective of Muslim migration

Yes, I should have prefaced it a bit better. But yeah he’s one of the few out there that actually knows the subject.

He’s one of the few around who actually understands the subject.

Yeah you bloody had to didn’t you hahaha
Fuck it it stays, he was a fucking good cop, rare as they are

Yeah, you’re right I probably should have prefaced this, but my expectations of people here are (perhaps mistakenly) higher than elsewhere.

So anyone out of the downvoters here actually watched this or know who Carrick Ryan is?
The bloke who made this video is an ex agent from the NSW task force involved in apprehending terrorists.
This is not a right wing froth video. It’s a rational discussion about it by someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.

So, what’s your assumption?
I got a sneaking suspicion it’s wrong.

I don’t know (people) who store stuff on a HD anymore
Yeah I’m finding this too, people just opting to save in a cloud.
I do some stuff on iPad or iPhone like the payments, I think their ecosystem is probably the pick for that and I’m degoogling that as well. All that is sent to my PC though, and the records stored in my hard drives.
I use clouds as little as possible and anything that automatically sent to one, if it is, is on my hard drives as well.
Dropbox continually asks me to update my storage. I just don’t use it any more.

I think it’s probably faster and going harder than we think but yeah, it looked pretty relaxed didn’t it

You’d own and rape slaves
Of course. I do that now where I live, why would I not do that in Rome.
I’d kill and eat their unplanned babies too, I’m atheist.

If I was in the US, and I bought a coffee equivalent to what my local gives me, I’d happily tip regardless of culture or wage. The cafe down the road is insanely good, but there’s not a lot of bad coffee around here.

Yeah look I think there might be a difference between one Panadeine forte and hard core opiates that have people nodding off.
Certainly, it’s a lot better than vaping two caps before driving and nine times out of ten it’s just a paracetamol anyway

They didn’t originally, I was five up at one point. Then the people who hang out in the kitchen came out
To be honest I don’t really care.

Fuck this is a difficult one.
Tipping culture is a throwback to slavery times and is very typical of the predatory nature that exists within employment in the US. The position that customers need to pay a tip because the server needs a liveable wage that isn’t covered by employers and built into law is essentially being held hostage due to an unfair system.
That said, waitstaff depend on this for a liveable wage and by not paying the tip, you’re denying that worker fair income. It’s not their fault directly, it’s the system they are under.
Looking from the outside, it comes back to the same thing; the reluctance of Americans to engage in building a decent society by collectively voting to build that, rather than voting or even not voting at all to take care of themselves. Again, it’s another case of ‘you get out what you put in’. A 60% voter turnout reflects the quality of what’s been elected and makes it easy for bad actors to get what they want, especially when their base does turn out.
To get those things, they need to at least vote and vote for people who will give them the things they want like legislated, decent wages. Sometimes it also means some hardship or compromise. Here, that means wait staff would be giving up the potential of big tips for the benefit of decent wages and perhaps healthcare.
Personally? Of course I’d tip them; I’m in Rome so I’d do as the Romans do and I’m aware that’s their income. I’d also feel like I was held hostage by a shithouse, predatory system brought about by Americans lack of care for their own people though.

Fortunately I don’t have really bad pain and the opiates I take if I need to are very mild.
There’s a bit of cynicism in my comment, I’m in Australia so any excuse my governments can find to destroy enjoyment gained as an extra, they’ll do it.
At the end of the day anything we can do with cannabis extracts that help people in any way id support, including this

Yeah look, I don’t it’s a bad thing at all, I know this would benefit many people

Correct

They’re doing the same in Australia right now, as well. It’s a full scale assault too. We now have a fucking CPAC, we’re being inundated with MAGA style bots and all this loony, loopy, violent, degenerate leftie socialist shit.
Our politics has gone from being something we thought about and did rationally every few years to being saturated and bludgeoned with this tribal crap every day.
That’s why Murdoch went there…he wasn’t able to do here or in the UK what he could do there, because the fertile ground for it existed.
The fact remains, the US is going to have to find something to rally around to improve their society, even if it isn’t this. They are where they are because they refuse to do anything about their situation, from voting, right through to now probably having to go into peaceful shutdown. They’ll find every excuse around it and expect the rest of us to understand and sympathise, like having to tip because the workers depend on it. It’s like being held hostage in a way; you know the worker will suffer if we don’t pay the tip.

There was an injection of tongue in cheek with the first comment as well, but that seemed to have missed most
There’s a big difference between one Panadeine forte and the opioids you might be thinking of. Sometimes it’s just a paracetamol
The only benefit I understand they offer is making life somewhat easier for the vision impaired.
