In my hometown people are attacked on the public bus constantly. It’s a new story all the time. Just someone today was trying to set the inside of the bus on fire and it’s in the news. Apparently, I’m a greedy American for not wanting to put my five-year-old child next to a homeless schizophrenic with a knife.

I live in the poor part of town and there’s no bus to my kids school. That’s great for Japan. I live here in America where that’s not possible because my school and work are on opposite sides of town.

Yeah, how the fuck am I gonna get my kid to school and then to work on the other side of town using a fucking public train? I would have to wake up four hours in advance. These ideal euro dreams are for 20 year old bachelors with no kids.
