Well, America…where are you?
Are you actually going to do anything about this fascist infection you’ve got going on?
Anywhere else, he would be up to his eyeballs in “Bills” already, but y’all are giving him a free pass.
When does the rest of the world get to see this “land of the free and home of the brave” you’ve been selling us since 1776…or is America just the land of the fee and the home of the slave?
America…do something.
We’re all watching and waiting. We haven’t seen much to inspire us lately.
They’re at home polishing their second amendment trophies wondering what a “militia” is and how one would be “well-regulated”.
Yeah, so, what would you propose? Why don’t you tell us what you’d do? Go buy a gun and “exercise your 2nd amendment rights”, or, in other words, commit suicide by cop? Is that what you’d do? Or, protest? I’m not sure you understand how utterly ineffective that is here. We can’t “storm the bastille”, firstly because it would just get us shot, and secondly because the country is huge and even getting to the capital is a multi-day or multi-hundred-dollar journey for most of the country.
And don’t give me the “It’s not my job to tell you what to do” response. I’ve heard it before. It’s not my job to go die for you, either, but that seems to be what you’re asking for. The least you can do is put some thought into it and present a plan for our critique.
What I’m getting at is, it’s really easy to sit here on the internet in the comfort of your home and tell other people what they should be doing, when you have nothing to lose by doing so.
You want to know what i would do?
Boycotts.
We are consumers, not citizens. Our power is in where we spend our money. They want us to be violent…we should be smart instead.
I sold my car. I don’t buy gas. I earn over 100k/yr but don’t own a car and I take the bus to work…every day. I don’t buy into the “keeping up with the jones’” shit.
I am Canadian and shop at a small grocery store that doesn’t stock US products. I love the US. I grew up in the US, but it is not the country i grew up in anymore. I support local businesses with my money. I’m at a bar, drinking Canadian whisky…when i know a better Old Fashioned is made with American whisky.
I don’t support businesses that don’t support my worldview…and my life has not suffered because of that. I spend my money on businesses that support the world i want to live in, and i don’t spend money in places i don’t believe in. I haven’t spent a cent in McDonalds since the 90s, and i haven’t travelled to the US since Trump has been in power. I love the US, but i won’t go back until that vermin has been wiped out.
Boycotts are so powerful that Israel tried to ban them. Think about that. That’s where our power is.
That’s what i’m talking about. I’m not violent. I am juat intelligent.
Yeah, I agree with you. Boycotts (or a general strike) would be incredibly effective. It honestly really bugs me that we, collectively, as consumers, have the implicit ability to literally force any of these awful businesses we love to complain about to change or go bankrupt, if only we could exercise collective restraint and decision making, yet obviously that’s a lot harder in practice than to say. I wish I had a social media platform with enough reach to organize something like that.
I’d be on board - I’d be so on board - but there’s hundreds of millions of people in the US alone and getting everyone else on board is difficult. Beyond me, certainly. That said, there have been some pretty large-scale efforts to shift business to US farmers whose politics and practices we agree with. Based on some social media crying I’ve seen from farmers who aren’t part of that group, I would like to think it’s at least having some impact.
Go buy a gun and “exercise your 2nd amendment rights”, or, in other words, commit suicide by cop?
Exactly this. Take one for the team. Make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good.
Is that what you’d do? If so, I’m glad you’re not American. We don’t need more people throwing their lives away for no material benefit, or at all, really.
White Power Bill but turns to Dirty Ears Bill after one slight of hand illusion.
Rape isn’t a joke, even about people you don’t like.
I don’t think Trump raping children is cool but here is where we are as a society.
How do you know he isn’t into it?
Why isn’t the CW about sexual assault?
The last time this image was as posted, it wasn’t cropped to hide the gibberishAI slop signs in the background.
This is an AI image that perpetrates the idea that prisoners rape is funny. Good job.
It may or may not be AI slop, but those aren’t watermarks, they’re IG UI icons
