The reason is simple: it costs less (including the disc drive) for ¥55,000 + ¥11,980 = ¥66,980 ($425) including games, even after I’ve paid for international shipping via a forwarding agent: would the console be exempted from taxes (tariffs) & duties one it arrives into the US despite it being ~$175 cheaper?

It looks sleek though, I want to import it since the US isn’t getting the midnight black variant of the digital only console as it’s only available in Japan. The console is a blatant rip off in the US & UK as the price is inflated at $600 (before taxes by the way) I REFUSE TO PAY THAT MUCH FOR A CONSOLE!
