Whenever I visit the Balkans I absolutely devour poppy seed rolls.

For the uninitiated, they’re not just bread rolls with poppy seeds on top; they’re cakes or pastries filled with a sweet poppy seed paste. It’s delicious but very hard to find outside Eastern Europe.

    Maduros street tacos

Basically fried plantains, cuban black beans, raw onion, cilantro, sriracha and lime on corn tortilla

It is absolutely made in the US but not in most places. Made some about 2 hours ago and they are delicious

Make the corn tortilla yourself trust me, store bought is shit and falls apart.

There is a food called murtabak that ive never seen outside of Singapore and Malaysia.

Its like a stuffed roti that you dip in curry. Fantastic and I wish I could find it in Europe.

    CW: meat

sichuan boiled fish (水煮鱼shuǐzhǔyú) is delicious, but you can only find it at the rare real Chinese restaurants, not the americanized ones.

I do love a good Paella; especially seafood with plenty of lemon juice squeezed on.

A really well made Steak Tartare is great too

      “Well made steak tartare”

      U wot m8?

That’s just raw hamburger with bits in it.

By what criteria can you consider raw hamburger with bits thrown in “well made”?

the quality and proportions of the meat, egg, shallots, capers, mustard, tabasco and worcester sauce make all the difference. I’ve had it DIY style, and I’ve had it pre-made, and one particular time in Bruges it was made to absolute perfection
