      People are going to bite into Play-Doh, taste that it’s very obviously not gum, and you think they’ll keep chewing and swallow it!? I doubt even arsenic would be harmful in such trace amounts…

        Allergies are crazy. A little exposure can cause a flare. I have celiacs and this would probably ruin my stomach without swallowing it.

          Are there really that many people with severe gluten allergies? Most people who won’t eat gluten (and have legitimate reasons) just can’t digest it well, which is quite different from an allergy.

      There’s probably a law about passing non-food off as food, too. Or maybe gum is a loophole. Not sure OP is rich enough to fight it.

      i think the joke might be to make it look like they’ve been given playdough for six months? edit - or just give them playdough this time. edit - which i guess is the risk. oh
