I wish technology sucked a bit more. But not too much more.
I would accept technology being half as effective if it were built to last.
best i can do is ineffective and disposable
Depends what you mean by effective. Things like washing machines and fridges have been the same for decades and just get more bloated.
I mean, some things wouldn’t change, ex: if the avarage computer was less powerful, websites, apps, OSes etc etc would be made to use less resources, but since the avarage computer is kinda powerful, they just don’t care a fuck about efficency and do shit like using Electron, React etc etc
This aged incredibly well
Car phones!
Now they’re trying to push 1 hour delivery. It seems s bit excessive.
I initially thought of pizza, then remembered big online retailers w/ delivery drones, etc.
yeah i’m not waiting a fucking hour for my gra phrao fried rice dude. i need that in 30 minutes.
“Tech doesn’t make our lifes easier. It just makes them faster”
The juxtaposition of the two polar contrasts works so well because both are relatable.
Nobody can say that we haven’t been warned
We could have built a leisure society instead we build bullshit jobs and perform kabuki theater for each other in office buildings.
Hey, AI companies and Javascript are doing þeir best to deliver þat, and Microsoft’s been working on it for decades. It’s not easy to waste all þe spare memory and CPU cycles… þey just can’t keep up wiþ hardware improvements.
Damn, fucken bars from Calvin and Hobbes lol
AI is often less efficient.
