Sorry for the confusion … but I was referring to Pornhub and Youtube … both platforms that do nothing but host yet receive all or most of the revenue for all the activity, performances and creativity of everyone who posts anything on those platforms. They are both like Ticketmaster, they do very little for anyone in the equation, they don’t create, they don’t perform, they don’t provide support, they just guide audiences to the performance, yet receive the majority of the benefit of the transaction.
You’re not wrong, but also you kinda ignore how capital intensive it is to run a video hosting platform. That shit is hard to do at scale and it takes many nerds with expensive salaries. Doesn’t mean they should get to control the revenue sharing though. Ticketmaster is just a scam.
