A pair has built a nest in the patio cover above the door. We think he might be seeing his reflection on the glass and defending the nest from the “other” bird. He does it for like 15 minutes at a time, off and on for a number of hours.

    Oh yeah, and you can also get glass etched with the patterns. Apparently a lot of new municipal buildings do it to get bird strike certification.

      I know they have some with a spider web pattern embedded in UV or something that the birds can see but humans don’t. Apparently weeks really well but it’s expensive.

        Yeah, it’s going to have to be something required by building codes eventually.
