Humans adjust to lots of things as their shelter proves to be safe. People can sleep in cars, on planes, on trains, with music, with snoring, with white noise, with rain, with wind, with frogs, with crickets, with all different sounds. It’s only when the noises change that we awake. I can’t say my partner’s snoring is pleasant, but it doesn’t keep me awake. Other things can keep me awake and make me frustrated at their snoring, but that’s not fair to them as it’s not the true cause. So if you do find that snoring present, I hope it’s a sign you’re very comfortable with the person making the sound.

I hate the snoring part of this. I could almost understand if it was just the sound of breathing. I could see how that might make someone feel like they weren’t alone. But that breath catching and whistling noise drive me nuts.

Did you have someone snoring in the room with you growing up?

I play vrchat a lot and I’ve seen a lot of my friends fall asleep in a lobby before while we play games. Sometimes others will lay down next to them and fall asleep too. We all go to worlds made for sleeping sometimes and just chat till we all fall asleep one by one. One of them is from Poland and it’s usually 3am at like 10pm for most of us so he falls asleep first.

    It’s nice.
