minus-squaresbeak@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·3 months agoThey are two different ratings, 6 to 8 is submersion (changing length of time in water and depth) I think while up to 5 is water jets / splashes (while 9 is fancy hot water jet) A lot of the newer Chinese phones are rated for IP68, IP68, and IP69!
