I live in NYC and the public libraries here literally throw away tons of books every year. The big city libraries and colleges in your area probably do the same.
You freaking live in NYC? And get access to the library. Holy crap getting a book from there here is like the Golden Fleece. What do i have to do to have a book with the NYC public library stamped on it. Hell i would frame that. The younger me always thought of it as like the tower of Babylon no sarcasm in any of that. Wish I would be contracted there. I would get a book. And never return it because it would be in a case
